This is my first lipstick review and I am feeling a bit excited writing about it. So my first MAC lipstick which I got as a gift from one of my friends on my birthday. All my friends were asking me “kya chahiye khud hi bta de” so I decided to get a bright pink lipstick but wasn’t sure if the likes of Impassioned, Chatterbox, Fanfare, Candy Yum Yum would suit me. I was crazily spent all days and nights searching google for a good bright neon pink lipstick for Indian skin tones. I am such a fool you know, Anshita already suggested me Mac Girl About Town and Inglot 421 but still I used to stay up all night like an owl whole night to search for the best pink lipstick reviews and swatches and ended up taking mac girl about town as my gift. Thanks to Anshita for suggesting me such a pretty shade!

MAC Pink Pigeon is fun and bright pink lip color that in some lots will appear to be on the neon side of the pink spectrum. This pink is best suited for the cool-toned girls because this color has blue undertones and the finish is a matte but to me, it feels more like a cream finish but after hours of wear, it will settle into your lips as a.

MAC Girl About Town is a bright pink shade with blue under tones. It is the perfect pink for fair to dark skin tones. I am around nc37 in Mac and GAT is also recommended by Mac Artist Vimi Joshi for Indian skin tones. It is a good winter pink lipstick too! Its a lot pigmented and one swipe gives you opaque coverage.

Girl About Town comes in Amplified Creme finish and has a super creamy and moisturizing texture. It makes my lips look so juicy and healthy, that I don’t really need any lip gloss on top for extra shine. It’s not too drying plus it has a slight glossy quality to it which I just love.

The staying power of GAT is atleast 5 hours if you don’t end accidentally wiping it out or washing it away. It can survive light meals and snacks. I wore it on my birthday party and had to reapply just once. The best part of this lipstick is it fades evenly so you’re not left with patchy or uneven lips. Its so hard to find a dupe for GAT in India!

I really like to wear lipsticks but my mom doesn’t like it. Its because she thinks simplicity is the best. Though she allows makeup on special occasions but not daily. But now she can’t complaint because I got it as a gift! And on this bday she even gave me the permission to apply it and do my eyes. I know I am acting like a small kid but I am feeling so happy that I can’t help it! And now I am planning a big Rimmel lipsticks haul!

The good things about MAC Girl About Town Lipstick:

Pretty bright pink shade which suits almost all Indian skin tones.
Staying power is very good for about 5 hours on me.
Pigmentation is good.
The finish is very creamy and gives a smooth finish.
The lipstick is not drying at all and quite moisturizing.

The bad things about MAC Girl About Town Lipstick:

I found the lipstick to be perfect. No bad points.

Do I Recommend: MAC Girl About Town is a fuchsia pink colour and a must have if you are a bright pink lipstick lover. If you don’t own this yet then you’re definitely missing out on a very good lipstick. I can see why it’s one of Mac’s cult lipsticks! So girls a big yes for GAT. The quality is supreme, its creamy and moisturizing and stays for around 5 hours on me. It goes opaque in just one swipe and will easily last for a long time

Lipstick is a girl’s second best friend, the first one is smile undoubtedly. With that note on mind, today I am going to write about some pink lipsticks that will complement Indian skin tone. It was an arduous journey to find the right shade of pink that I can flaunt easily without looking eerie. Most of the pink shades that everybody was raving about on internet made me look washed out and pale. But some of them really did a good job to bring out my complexion. Before I dig into my findings let me tell you girls, I am a lipstick lover. I love them so much that every now and then I have to put a checklist on myself not to spend too much on them. Also I am on a constant quest for searching the right shade of pinks, reds and nudes that will add value to my make up vanity. For today’s review I am adding my top 5 pink shades from my lipstick collection.

Clarins Rouge Eclat lipstick in 25 Pink Blossom:

This is my go to favorite pink shade of all time. This is a warm pink color with a hint of coral in it. Here is a tip, any pink with coral undertone looks fab on warm skin tone. Pink blossom is highly pigmented and only two to three swipes gives you the perfect color. The formula is creamy with a glossy finish. It glides on easily with a high color output. It stays for almost 3-4 hours before it starts to wear off with moderate drinking and eating. It leaves a nice soft stain once it wears off. You have to reapply every 4 hours or after a meal. If you are thinking for some time now to invest in a beautiful pink lip color that can be your next holy grail look no further, you already found one.

Mac Cremesheen Lipstick in shade Speed Dial:

As the name itself suggests, this can be an SOS emergency pink shade for anybody. This is a light bluish pink that I absolutely love. This is one of those rare bluish pink lipsticks that I was able to carry on effortlessly. The formula is creamy with high shine. It is highly opaque and gives you the desired amount of color with just two swipes. The staying power again is around 4 hours which I do not mind. Undoubtedly one of the best bluish pink out there for warm skinned beauties.

Mac Matte Lipstick in Pink Pigeon:

This is a very bright pink with a cool tones in it. This is the brightest pink shade among all. I wanted a bright pink shade very badly so I experimented between Mac Candy Yum Yum and this. I was not brave enough to flaunt the neon Candy Yum Yum and settled for this one instead. This will look good on Indian/warm skin tone. This again is highly pigmented and stays for a full 5 hours. If you desire to be experimental with a bright cool toned pink then there is no need to wait.

Mac Matte Lipstick in Pink Plaid:

I am adding this one in my review because your pink shade box is not complete without a nude pink lippie. It is hard for me to find a good nude pink for my skin tone because sometimes they make me look ghostly or sick. This one is a muted nude pink that looks perfect on my skin tone if I pair it up with some bright eye make up. This one is highly opaque and matte, stays on the lips for a good 5 hours before it fades out leaving a stain.
